The
farmhouse was originally a one-up, one down shepherds cottage and has
been extended over the years with the 'new' part dating from 1850.
It now offers a family suite with double bedroom. children's room and
bath/ shower room. We have found this equally popular with families,
couples and friends alike as it gives extra space and privacy. We also
have a double bedroom with en-suite shower room. there is space for
a cot or small single bed. Rooms are tastefully decorated and furnished
and have T V. central heating, hospitality trays and hairdriers.Rooms
are serviced daily, towels provided and have many thoughtful extras to
make. your holiday special.
The guest lounge is furnished with a mix of modern and
antiques and has a wood burning stove set in an inglenook fire place,
this is lit on cooler evenings and there are a wide selection of books
videos CDs and games for your enjoyment. Information on local attractions
and maps and walking books are freely available to help you plan your
day.
The dining room has separate tables and an open fire
place with bread ovens and an Aga style range which is used to cook
a wide variety of dinners. Food is a main concern with the emphasis
on home and local produce, quality fresh ingredients and generous helpings.
Special diets can be catered for with prior notice, mealtimes are as
flexible as possible and you are welcome to bring your own choice of
tipple as we are not licensed. There is a choice of 2 or 4 course dinners,
or eat out at a wide variety of local pubs and restaurants
